My story is about why I wanted to read the Bible and why I want to be baptized and am going to be baptized. So the reason I wanted to start reading the Bible is because my friend Abel invited me to youth group. I went to youth group with him and I walked in and we started with some songs. Then after the song the pastor told us some stuff about him so we could know him better. Then he started talking about the Bible the next day and I just love it. After I got home I said to my mom can I get a Bible? And she said yes. So my dad got me a Bible and it wasn’t the english version so he went back and got me the english version. And so far I have brought it almost everywhere I have gone to school, to church, to my sisters volleyball games, and so many places. And so far everyday I have gotten home I have told my mom what I have read.
Why I want to be baptized. The reason I want to be baptized is because I was reading and I was at the part where Jesus was baptized. And I thought to myself have I been baptized? And I thought I have been but I asked my mom and she said no you have been dedicated, not baptized. And I said ohhh so can I be baptized? And my mom said do you know what it means to be baptized and I said yes in the Bible I’m reading about when Jesus was baptized. And she said ok I will look when the next time our church is going to baptize people. And I am getting baptized April 15.
The next day my mom said ok here is a video with pastor Rob talking about baptizing. So I watched the video and then after we took a test on how well we listened. So after we took the test my mom said the pastor wants me to take a class for it. So after we get back from spring break I am going to take that class then I going to be baptized.
What I’ve been reading about. I’ve read Mark and I’m in Acts. And in Mark it talked about Jesus and how he feed 5,000 men and how he walked on water. And my favorite part about the book of Mark was when Jesus rose to Heaven and a Angel came down and said don’t worry tell Jesus’s disciples that Jesus rose to Heaven. And in Acts so far my favorite part is when Peter was blind and God sent Damascus to heal Peter. And when Peter’s disciples were leading him to a house he had a vision and a big white sheet was let down by it’s corners and God said to Peter get up Peter kill and eat. And there was all sorts of animals on the sheet.
